In the peaceful hamlet of Little Norton, beside a millpond and adjacent to a carefully restored water mill, you will find our four comfortable two bedroom cottages and four cosy one bedroom apartments.
Located beneath Ham Hill (famous for its Iron-age Hill Fort) in rural South Somerset, Little Norton Mill is set in 6 acres of beautiful, landscaped gardens with ornamental ponds, marsh garden, a host of rare and interesting trees and shrubs, orchard and meadows.
Our garden is opened to the public once a year for the National Garden Scheme. Here you can enjoy the quality and comfort of home from home, surrounded by glorious gardens and picturesque countryside; an ideal location for a quiet, restful holiday.
The South Somerset area is a paradise for garden lovers, with no less than 10 classic gardens to visit including Barrington Court (National Trust), an enchanting garden influenced by Gertrude Jekyll, East Lambrook Manor, once the home of Margery Fish – now a Grade 1 listed garden and Montacute House, a fine Elizabethan house (National Trust) with a garden of formal mixed borders and a rich tapestry of greens, all within a 10 mile radius. A little further but an easy drive away are Forde Abbey, which has 30 acres of garden surrounding a medieval abbey and Hestercombe Gardens, featuring terraces, rills and orangery – a superb example of the Lutyens-Jekyll partnership.
There is much to delight the discerning visitor to South Somerset, whether your interest is walking or cycling, gardens or churches, horse riding or wildlife, angling or the arts, architecture or simply the traditional qualities of rural England at its very best.
The four, two bedroom cottages each have a spacious open-plan living / dining room with well equipped kitchen area including a dishwasher and superb views of the mill pond and /or the garden. Pets are welcome in some cottages and charged at £20 per week.

All properties have Colour T.V., CD/cassette radios, microwave, fridge/freezer, duvets, bed-linen, towels and tea towels. The two bedroom cottages have videos. Night storage heaters in all properties and back up convector heaters. Electricity by meter reading. Shared laundry room with washing machines and tumbledryers.
There is ample parking off the road.
